Accessibility Statement
Version 1.0 | Last updated: 1 September 2026
We are committed to improving the accessibility of LANDARNA and aim to provide an inclusive experience for users with a wide range of access needs and assistive technologies.
Accessibility and WCAG
LANDARNA is designed and developed with reference to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA.
We periodically assess the platform against relevant WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA Success Criteria and use the findings to inform our ongoing development programme.
Our current assessment has identified some areas where accessibility can be improved, particularly within highly interactive mapping and visualisation functionality. These are described below.
Current Accessibility Limitations
LANDARNA is a highly interactive geospatial application and some specialist functionality currently presents accessibility limitations.
Keyboard interaction
Most standard interface components support conventional keyboard interaction. Some specialist mapping interactions currently rely on mouse or touch input, including certain map feature inspection and custom boundary-drawing functions.
We are reviewing these interactions as part of the continued development of the platform, including opportunities to provide equivalent keyboard-accessible workflows where appropriate.
Data visualisations
Some complex data visualisations have accessibility limitations. In particular, certain interactive network visualisations cannot currently be fully navigated using a keyboard.
We are progressively improving the accessibility of LANDARNA's visualisations and the ways in which the underlying information can be accessed.
Interactive mapping
LANDARNA uses interactive maps to communicate spatial information including site boundaries, constraints and data layers. Some information presented visually through the map does not currently have a complete equivalent textual representation.
We are reviewing how alternative representations of spatial information can be provided while retaining the analytical functionality of the platform.
If an accessibility barrier prevents you from accessing information or completing a task within LANDARNA, please contact us. We will work with you to identify an appropriate alternative wherever reasonably possible.
Assessment Approach
This statement was originally prepared on 12 August 2026 following an internal technical review of key LANDARNA interfaces and user journeys against relevant WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA Success Criteria.
Accessibility is considered as part of the ongoing design and development of LANDARNA. Further assessment, including testing with assistive technologies, forms part of our continuing accessibility improvement programme.
This statement will be reviewed and updated as the platform and our accessibility testing develop.
Feedback and Support
We welcome feedback about the accessibility of LANDARNA and encourage users to tell us if they encounter an accessibility barrier.
You can contact the LANDARNA support team by email at support@landarna.com.
We aim to acknowledge accessibility-related enquiries within 5 working days and will work with users to understand and, where reasonably possible, resolve accessibility barriers or identify an appropriate alternative way of accessing the relevant information or functionality.
